Realscape Productions · Tech-Infused, Multisensory Experiences
We produce experiences that make your brain go “OoOoh!”
We produce and present work outside traditional theatres: the back of a 40-foot truck, a shipping container, a tiny house on a festival site, a room in the dark. Sometimes a theatre, on our terms. The audience is rarely just watching.
Realscape started in Australia in 2017, led by producers Amy Johnson and Nathan Alexander. We produce, tour and run the operations and marketing across Australia, the UK, the US, Canada and New Zealand, alongside some of the best creative collaborators in the world. We may be biased.
DARKFIELD.
The door of a shipping container closes, the lights go, and the rest happens in total darkness through headphones.

Future Cargo
A sci-fi dance show staged in the back of a 40-foot haulage truck. The audience watches from outside in headphones as the arrival plays out under the night sky. Created by Requardt & Rosenberg. Realscape produced it in Australia.
Ghost Stories
Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman's West End horror, in its Australian staging at Melbourne's Athenaeum Theatre. A full-scale replica of the West End show: a portmanteau of ghost stories framed as a lecture, built on the kind of sound design that makes a whole room flinch. It ends on a turn you won't see coming. Realscape produced it.
Mummy's Milk
A one-on-one show: 15 minutes, one guest at a time, with Mummy, the matriarch of the universe. A Liverpudlian who welcomes you into her cosy room and asks the questions you'd save for God. It won the BankSA Award for Best Interactive, Film and Digital at the Adelaide Fringe. Created by Tash Kendall. Realscape presented it in Australia.
What we do.
01
Multi-sensory production
We produce shows that work on more than one sense at once: what you hear, what you feel, what's around you in the dark.
02
Touring & operations
We move shows between cities and countries, and run them on the ground in five.
03
Unconventional venues
Trucks, shipping containers, tiny houses, rooms in the dark. We stage work where a theatre can't go.
04
Creative collaborators
We work with the artists behind the work and produce it for new cities and audiences.
05
Marketing
Press, partnerships and ticketing, run from first announcement to closing night.
06
General management
Contracts, finance and governance, handled so the work can happen.
Be first through the door.
New shows, new cities, the occasional opening night. Nothing else.
